slippingandsliding replied to your link: Roger Moore: yes. Joan Collins: perish the thought.

I rather wish it was Michael Caine but alas. Roger though might well do - as long as it isn’t in his smarmy 007 guise. I never really liked his 007 with all the double entendres. As for Collins - too horrific a prospect to stomach. Just NO!

Can you imagine the chemistry between Michael Caine and Maggie, should that ever happen? *hyperventilating*

All in all, I liked Roger Moore as Simon Templar [cue theme or, better yet, cue updated theme although I have to admit this film sucked lol], but his Bond bored me to tears (I’m sorry, but no one says “Bond. James Bond.” like Sean Connery, with that amazing voice of his :D). I have to admit that I’m excited about the prospect of some back story on Violet, I can already imagine her rolling her eyes :)))

As for seeing Joan Collins in the same sentence as Downton Abbey, let alone as a part of the cast, the thought just repels me.
